Valor Mortis Guide & Wiki is an independent, unofficial reference for Valor Mortis. Nobody pays us, nothing is sponsored, and we are not affiliated with the developer or publisher in any way. This page explains who maintains the site, how claims are verified, and how to reach us.

Who maintains this site

The site is maintained by CT (Site Maintainer). It is a one-person project: research, writing, the data files and the code are all the same pair of hands. That is worth saying plainly because it sets your expectations about speed. When the game launches and the internet fills with contradicting claims, this site will update as fast as one person can verify things, not as fast as a content farm can publish them.

The byline on every page is the site itself rather than a personal name, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a way of hiding. A short pen name wearing an “expert editor” title with no verifiable history behind it is not more trustworthy than an honest, contactable publication. What matters is that somebody is accountable for what is written and can be reached about it, and you can reach this one at the address below.

How we verify claims

Every factual assertion on this site is labelled with one of three tags, and the label is part of the product rather than a disclaimer bolted on the end. Where the game has not shown something yet, we say so. Where we are reading between the lines, the tag says so. What we do not do is fill a gap with something that sounds plausible.

  • Confirmed

    Stated by the publisher or developer, shown in official footage, or derivable from the published trophy list.

  • Reported

    A journalist played the build and described it. Reliable on feel and difficulty, weaker on content counts.

  • Inference

    Our reading of a confirmed name, trophy wording and the game’s own confirmed systems. Test it in game.

The four source tiers behind everything

What this site is not

  • Not official

    We have no relationship with One More Level, Lyrical Games, Microsoft, Sony or Valve. Anything here is a fan reading of public information.

  • Not a wiki you can edit

    There is no community editing layer. One maintainer, one voice, one set of source tags.

  • Not a data mine

    Nothing on this site comes from unpacking game files or from a build we were given. That is why there are gaps, and why the gaps stay gaps.

  • Not ad-funded

    There are no ads, no affiliate links and no sponsored placements. Nobody has paid for a word of this.

  • Not a review

    We publish no review score. Where reviews exist, we point at them and say which outlet said what.

  • Not finished

    The game is not out. Roughly half of this site will look thin until October 13, and we would rather ship it thin and honest than padded and wrong.

Official channels

Valor Mortis does not have an official wiki, and no official wiki has been announced. The large wikis you will find in search results, including Fextralife's Valor Mortis wiki, are community-run and not operated by One More Level or Lyrical Games. They are useful and this site cites them, but they are not official and they say so themselves. For anything official, including support, use the publisher's own channels.
