Nephtis Superioris Boss Guide
ReportedNephtis Superioris
Almost certainly the thing the plague is.
Late game
Behemoth
Defeat Nephtis Superioris.
Confirmed by trophy list only, but it is the load-bearing name in the file. The plague in Valor Mortis is called Nephtoglobin in pre-release coverage, and the platinum trophy itself is called Nephtis Superioris. A final entity named after the disease, with the word Superioris attached, and a "Behemoth" trophy, is as close to a confirmed final boss as you can get without the publisher saying so. Expect it to be the penultimate or final encounter.

Threats and how to answer them
Multi-phase escalation
InferenceTell: theorycraft: the fight changes rules as it progresses.
Answer: Bank your consumables for the second half. Do not spend Flasks learning phase one.
The approach
Before you walk in
- Do not enter under-leveled. Catalysts buy health and stamina, and this is where you want them.
- Ensure a fully upgraded weapon and Transmutation. The trophy list confirms upgrades to maximum exist as achievements, so the game expects you to use them.
The loop that wins
- Treat each phase as a new fight and re-learn the tells. Do not carry a dead pattern into a new move set.
What loses the fight
- Do not burn your Ambers on a damage build if you cannot survive the phase transition.
Weaknesses and loadout
What it is weak to
- theorycraft: apex plague entity, so expect multi-phase and weak-point-gated

- Firearm
- Fully upgraded firearm, ideally the Musket
- Transmutation
- Shield for transition survival, Fire for damage windows
- Amber

- The platinum is named after it: Nephtis Superioris
